Future architects tried to design trade fair exhibition

Our design department has spent last weeks in cooperation with the Department of Spatial Design from Tomas Bata University in Zlín under the guidance of Ing. arch Kamil Koláček.

The aim of our cooperation was to provide the students possibility of participation in solution of one of the bigger expositions we usually design. In the midst of October students received the first part of their task – to work out the conceptual solution for individual stands. Several weeks later – after our visit at the University and consultation of their first ideas – they processed specific spatial designs already.

We have prepared special program for participating students on November 22nd. The excursion to two of our subsidiaries – Expolight and A1 nábytek – took place in the morning. Students got acquainted with the illumination options in the trade fair expositions, they could even examine and touch all the equipment. Later on, they could see the complete process of expositions furniture production in our wood processing workshop.

In the afternoon the students presented their own projects in progress introducing many great and innovative solutions. Their presentations were followed by feedback by our experts from different departments that included both generous praise and priceless practical advice on how to proceed further or how the prospective clients may react. The designs by the best participants will be presented also to our clients and the authors will be invited to the specific exhibition as well as to the further co-operation.

This event was not the only activity how we involve students into the designing process. We cooperated with Tomas Bata University in Zlin already in 2017 and 2018. We also try to support those who wish to obtain professional experience in one of our departments. We also plan to extend similar networking to other universities.
